Thats allot of work. For all that work would of been allot easier to just buy a complete new shell and start over. That's if they make a reproduction one.

well at the start didnt think it was too bad, after a bit it kinda snowballed.

even drivetrain, i was going to freshen up stuff, now everything will be changed out,

engine, trans, diff (already a 9", but going to a big tube, and a touch narrower, was out of a granada previously)

forgot to add, orig budget was for around $15k, painted, driving, back on the road with some repainted rallyes.

how hard was the one piece floor to put in? did you just wrap a tie down strap around it and bend it and it went up and over the frame rails?

Radio opening reapired from being hacked

looks like a mustang again.



lumpy hood, not the greatest, needed a fair bit of work, 10-12 hrs

A customer dropped off one of those same hoods at my work. Was a peice of shit. Didnt want to spend much money on it, looked terrible after it was painted but he didnt seem to care.

the hood looks really good now. probly would have spent the same amount of time fixing up the stock hood which was dented.

reminded me of my shelby front end wavy fiberglass.

not even keeping track, my buddy spent a lot more time on bodywork than he figured, and he did extra stuff, if in a body shop would have been $25k easy

(hes a journey body guy, and been doing it since we were both in bodyshop in highschool.

might be close but aint guaranteeing it. would be a 13 hr trailer trip to get to the international.
