Default new deck for termi?

thinking about getting a new deck for the 2004 cobra. the one i am looking at is the clarion vx400 double din. just wondering if this deck will fit and also if anyone here has ordered from amazon before? i know nothing about car audio and never shopped at amazon before so any input would be great.

here is the link
http://www.amazon.com/Clarion-VX400-...0014565&sr=1-1

you obviously bore it .010" then finish hone it, then put an elastic on the diegrinder trigger and dangle that bitch into the bore and watch bounce around in there...thats how you get the .5

Don't buy a clarion DBL DIN deck, they are slow compared to other brands IMO...I would suggest either an Alpine DBL DIN or a Pioneer one. I noticed that the the alpine and pioneer ones respond quicker than the clarion and other brands. Also the Alpine user interface is a bit easier to use/see compared to other brands...this is all my opinion though

it should fit no problem brian. the 6.5 refers to the screen only i think and the outer shell are all universal in size from what i was told.

yes, I believe they fit fine, DBL DIN is basically the size of 2 decks put together. I've seen many cobras with them.

I've ordered many things from amazon. Never had an issue with them.
For all my stereo equipment, I have used Ebay stores. Never had a problem

I've bought a lot of stuff through this guy - http://www.hifiaudioonline.com/

Most prices are very good, but you gotta watch cuz some aren't. Some are also refurb units...nothing wrong with that, but be aware. The good thing is that he is a non-resident importer into Canada so you don't get dinged with duty, taxes or brokerage fees....but his shipping costs are kind of high so it is a wash.

I got my Pioneer Avic-F90 nav unit from him for $499 a couple of years ago. It was refurb in a brown box, but have had zero problems with it.

He's also on ebay under hifiaudioonline and sometimes has deals better than the webstore.

Thats the deck i just installed. Only problem no cross overs. It was to late to return so i had to install Capacitors on each speaker wire to gain a 60Hz crossover. Spend the extra cash and get something better!!
