Best Course of action?

Ok i hope someone here Might be able to help as this is a serious Question and i am not sure how to approach the situation:

On Christmas eve at around 3:15pm My family (3 of us) were at price-smart foods in surrey putting our last minute grocery shopping into my van when all of a sudden this car came from across the parking lot and rammed the back of my van crushing myself,my sister,and mother (Driver admitted to the RCMP that he was 100% at fault and his foot slipped of the brake and onto the gas) all i heard when i had my back turned was an engine revving at a high rate and by the time i turned around it was too late. He hit us so hard the RCMP say the skid marks left from my van were approx 5-6feet and that the initial impact wasn't the first one but he hit us twice.
I have Sustained severe Crush damage to my right knee my sister wound up with a broken tibia and my mother got 2-3 broken ribs.

Needless to say my Christmas was ruined and food spoiled in the van after 2 days of being in the hospital but i am home and sister and mother are still awaiting surgery and won't release my mother with broken ribs to 80 years old.

as the driver admitted 100% fault should i contact a lawyer before icbc and yes i know icbc is closed till monday as well as most lawyers offices

Yes that fact there are injuries get a lawyer, find one the specialises in dealing with ICBC, sorry to hear your story

Don't even talk to icbc without a lawyer , icbc' job is to pay as little as possible and with the injures you describe you will need a good lawyer to keep icbc in line

shitty happened in the holidays, but i forsee you coming into some money maybe even a new raptor....but deffinatley get a lawyer first..

After i called a lawyer he said that there is no problem with me talking to icbc and so i called them and after talking to them my claim is now 2 claims (1 for the vehicle, And 2) as we weren't in the vehicle when it happened it became 3 pedestrians that got hit) so i am waiting for the rcmp to get get back to me as the accident report seems to be incomplete,van is scheduled to goto icbc on the 13th and pretty much it's just a waiting game and doctors appointments that i didn't need before this happened but my lawyer is standing at the ready to take over if i don't hear back from the rcmp this week he says he'll shake things up as the accident report is a critical part and should have been completed by now, the only thing i know at this moment is the guys name that hit me,his plate number,and make of car.....as for a new raptor i don't think so i have a hard enough time getting into my windstar to go to the doctor as it's too high

keep documentation of every call, ask who your are talking to, keep dates and time, all involved should site down and write the whole story of the accident , every little detail, if it goes to court you will be ask to recall the incident.
