finally ran slicks tonite and glad i did.nothing broke,drove to track,had a blast and drove back home.

12.24@116mph-----------1.73----------bc_stang----------1993coupe--------stock302/turbo@10psi---------t5----------ET drag

i wanted to have couple of more passes with more timing and boost but track got really slippery.i guess this is as fast as iam gonna get this year.

No mike, i dont have 2 step yet. I need to leave off the line with boost, that should improve my 60' i think.i launched at 3000-3200 rpms but No matter what rpm's i launched at, it laid 1.7 60' consistently. I was running 13 psi in tires, maybe i need to go even lower??

Thanks! I can't imagine breaking into the 11s without serious $$$ with a car this heavy, so I'm very happy to just squeak into the 12s just so I can say "It's in the twelves".

I mean, 12.999 is still in the 12s, and when I hit my 12.91, I was ecstatic. I had to doublecheck the timeslip when I saw my 12.81, it was awesome!

Mission accomplished for this year, (pardon the pun) so now for some suspension work over the winter to help hook up next year. Billet aluminum rear control arms, maybe same for the Watts Link. Most Marauders get .1 out of that combo.

were you spinning or hooking at the line? 13 psi in my car no nos was dead hooking.. on NOS i ran 11.3 psi per tire and that was getting me 1.55 60's... im sure that if you had a 2 step and left with some boost and could hook it up that would result in much lower 60's.. needless to say you should be happy, from the looks of the way things went for you this year, 10s arent far off next year!

i havent used slicks ever before but it did seem like car went sideways at the launch on 2-3 runs with 13psi pressure.so iam assuming it did spin a bit. but that could be due to track being too cold though so not 100%.i definately need to concentrate on my 60' and learn how to powershift that t-5 like you! 10's? i will be happy if i can get 11's with stock engine!

11s shouldnt be a problem at all based on your mph... what size et drags are you running? your gears and tire size will be important, and if you are spinning at the line you either need more tire or better track prep or a little less tire pressure. you should do yourself a favour and do a test and tune next year, they are so awesome for really learning how to drive a new setup and seeing what works on a particular combo. i cant wait to see you turn the boost up and leave on the 2 step! turbo cars are fucking fun to watch

well iam gonna go back this friday again and see if i can improve my time somehow. iam running 26/10.0/15 et streets with 3.27 gears.maybe i will try lowering pressure to 10-11psi and launch around 3500rpms. next year for sure i will be going to couple test and tunes. tomorrow iam going to buy 2 step and hopefully its easy to install.but kinda scared i might break driveshaft or trans??

Sorry, forgot to mention for the results page, I was running on OEM BFG KDW-2s, not any kind of drag radials or slicks. Never mounted the widened rims/tires, I'll try that next season.

finally ran 11's on last pass of 2009 season :)

funny this was on pump gas.it left real hard off the line...definately i will remember that for rest of my life for sure.after i used race gas,i couldnt get her to hook up for rest of the nite. oh well,iam happy!

also it was nice chatting with ppl that came over and talked about turbo stangs,etc.not sure if they r members of VM.

Lol plan is to start turning up boost next year and hopefully get the car in deep 11's. iam sure with same boost level(10#), i can prolly hit 11.7 with better shifting. I wonder if i can improve on the 60'.... Maybe try raising rpms on 2 step and lower tire pressures to 10ish?
